To celebrate the Village of Tivoli's 150th anniversary, the Tivoli Artists Gallery presents its "Historic Tivoli" show from July 29 through Aug. 21 with an opening reception on July 30 from 5-7 p.m. Tivoli has a rich history dating back to the 17th century. The show features historical photographs, historical maps and Tivoli-inspired paintings. Among the paintings are those of Tivoli's own Mayor Joel R. Griffith!

As part of the "Historic Tivoli" show, there will be two presentations. The first is "Tivoli from Eleanor Roosevelt to Dorothy Day" on Aug. 13 at 6 p.m. featuring Jim O’Grady, WNYC writer, reporter, author and fellow Tivolian. The second is "Historic Tivoli" on Aug. 20 at 6 p.m. featuring Emily Major, Tivoli’s Deputy Mayor and unofficial historian.

The Tivoli Artists Gallery's seasonal hours are Fridays 1-8:30 p.m., Saturdays 12-8 p.m. and Sundays 1-5 p.m., or by appointment.
