The Bannerman Castle Trust presents exclusive performances of the award-winning mystery play "Scotland Road" at historic Bannerman Castle on Bannerman's Island.
Set in the late 20th century, the story begins when a beautiful young woman named Winifred, dressed in 19th-century clothing, is found floating on an iceberg in the middle of the North Atlantic. When rescued, she says only one word: "Titanic." Winifred is taken to an isolated spot on the coast of Maine, where an expert on the sinking of the Titanic, a mysterious man named John, has arranged to interrogate her. His goal is to get her to confess she's a fake and reveal her identity. His one clue is her enigmatic references to an unknown place called "Scotland Road."
Written by Jefferey Hatcher and directed by Beacon's own Neil Caplan, "Scotland Road" is a riveting psychological thriller which has wowed Titanic history enthusiasts and theater mavens alike!
In order to reach Bannerman's Island, you will board the Estuary Steward tour boat at the Beacon Dock (2 Red Flynn Road) and enjoy a scenic cruise to the island in the middle of the Hudson River. Ticket prices include the boat ride, as well as a tour of Bannerman’s Island with professional tour guides before the show.
The Saturday night performance is reserved for a special event that will include an 11-course dinner featuring the actual dinner menu from the Titanic’s ill-fated voyage. The dinner night will be designed and presented by noted chef Noah Sheetz. Authentic Gilded Age music will be provided by the fabulous Klettner Brothers from the band Platinum Moon.
