"Farm Life in Clinton: 1890-1920” is the title and theme for this year’s annual summer exhibit by the Clinton Historical Society. The exhibit features a look at farming and farm family life in Clinton and Dutchess County before the advent of electricity and tractors. The strict, nature-driven schedule of the farmer, the work of the farm wife and business partner, the education of the children and the social life of the family are described in text and vintage photos. Highlights of the exhibit include more than 120 vintage images with informative captions, 40 early farm-related artifacts and horse-drawn antique farm implements and a carriage. Also, the 4H Club will be giving a goat milking demonstration on July 10, and a kids’ cow milking contest is being scheduled. Open Saturdays and Sundays in July. Admission is free.
