Hopewell Animal Hospital Presents Artwork Inspired by Navajo and Apache Cultures

For Wendy Alvarez, creating art is a transcendent experience driven by imagination, intuition and the excitement of discovery. It’s a joyful adventure filled with wonder and delight. Her “Kindreds” series is influenced by the philosophy and work of Navajo and Apache artists with whom she spent the summer of 1996. Her experience showed her the many profound ways in which art can be informed by nature and belief. See her "Kindreds" series at The Gallery at Hopewell Animal Hospital through Aug. 31.
