The Hudson Valley Philharmonic concludes its 61st - and most diverse - season with its Themes & Variations program. Under the direction of guest conductor Andre Raphel, the repertory for Themes & Variations includes Erich Wolfgang Korngold, Theme and Variations, op. 42; Richard Danielpour, Adagietto for String Orchestra; Avner Dorman, Nigunim (Violin Concerto no. 2) with soloist Lara St John, violin; and Felix Mendelssohn, Symphony no. 4 in A major, op.90 (Italian). Audience members are invited to a pre-concert talk with the guest conductor and soloist one hour prior to the performance.
