Easter Fun in Dutchess County

Consider this your invitation to visit Dutchess County this spring! Celebrate Easter with the kids at any of our fun events, and enjoy a delectable brunch or dinner with the family. There is so much to see and do here in the heart of New York's Hudson Valley. Our acres upon acres of pastoral farmland are awakening from their winter slumber, and our miles and miles of scenic hiking trails are beckoning for you to come and explore.

Fun for All Ages

Easter Bunny Visits at the Poughkeepsie Galleria (March 20–April 4): Register online to book your photo op and receive free gifts from Crayola and Yankee Candle. Sensory-friendly visits are set for March 22, 9–10:30 a.m. Pet Nights with the Easter Bunny are March 23 and March 31, 5–7 p.m.

Beekman Egg Hunt (Saturday, March 28, 12:15 p.m., at Recreation Park, Hopewell Junction): Egg hunts divided into age groups starting at 1:30 p.m.; sensory-friendly egg hunt at 12:15 p.m.; games; crafts; Two by Two Petting Zoo; meet the Easter Bunny.

• Wappinger Egg Hunt (Saturday, March 28, 1–3 p.m., at Robinson Lane Park, Wappingers Falls): Egg hunt; Easter Bunny; games, crafts, and snacks.

Hyde Park Easter Egg Hunt (Saturday, March 28, 1 p.m., at Hackett Hill Park, Hyde Park): Bring a basket for the egg hunt.

Easter at Eastdale (Saturday and Sunday, March 28 and 29, 10 a.m.–2 p.m., at Eastdale Village, Poughkeepsie): Free photos with the Easter Bunny on the Green.

Stormville Fire House Pancake Breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt (Sunday, March 29, 8 a.m.–12 p.m.): All-you-can-eat breakfast including pancakes, bacon, sausages, hash browns, bagels and an omelet station, along with coffee, tea and juice; egg hunt for kids under 13.

• Barks & Bunnies Easter Event (Sunday, March 29, 12–2 p.m., at FurEver Friends, Hopewell Junction): Raffles, goodies, photos with the Easter Bunny, and adorable adoptable pets.

• Reach Out Church Easter EGGstravaganza 2026 (Sunday, March 29, 12:30 p.m., at Reach Out Church, Hyde Park): Egg hunts divided into age groups; egg races; family photo booth.

• Blodgett Memorial Library Egg Hunt (Sunday, March 29, 1:30 p.m., at Blodgett Memorial Library Egg Hunt, Fishkill): Bring your own basket for the egg hunt.

Red Hook Fire Company Easter Egg Hunt (Sunday, March 29, 2–5 p.m., at Red Hook Fire Company): Meet the Easter Bunny, hunt for eggs, meet the little farm animals, and see the fire trucks. Sensory hour at 1 p.m.

• Egg Hunts For All (Saturday, April 4, 10:30 a.m., at Tymor Park, Union Vale): Traditional egg hunts divided into age groups; separate low-vision, sensory-friendly and wheelchair-accessible egg hunts. (Note: This year, the wheelchair-accessible and low-vision egg hunts will be available upon request; be sure to contact the Union Vale Parks & Recreation office before March 30 to put in a request for those activities).

Greig Farm Egg Hunt (Saturday, April 4, 1–3 p.m., at Greig Farm, Red Hook): Egg hunt, Easter Bunny storytime in The Taproom, goat visits, photos with the Easter Bunny.

Village of Wappingers Falls Easter Egg Hunt (Saturday, April 4, 1 p.m., Mesier Park, Wappingers Falls): Egg hunts divided into age groups (find the golden egg and win a super prize!); music, food, vendors, photos with the Easter Bunny.

Hi Hopes Thoroughbred Rescue Egg Search and Activity Day (Sunday, April 12, 10 a.m., at Hi Hopes Thoroughbred Rescue, Wappingers Falls): Egg hunts divided into age groups; horseshoe painting; pony rides; refreshments available. (Note: They're holding their event the week after Easter because they "want an egg hunt, not a mud-wrestling event!" Awesome!).

Beekman Arms (Rhinebeck): Sunday buffet, 11 a.m.–3 p.m.

Curry Estate (Hopewell Junction): Brunch seatings at 9:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.; photo ops with the Easter Bunny; egg hunts for children attending brunch at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Mill Creek Caterers (Hopewell Junction): Easter brunch 11 a.m.–2 p.m.; Easter Bunny visit; photo booth; goodie bags for the kids.

• Shadows on the Hudson (Poughkeepsie): Brunch buffet 9:30 a.m.–1 p.m.; dinner 1:15 p.m.

Terrapin (Rhinebeck): Dinner starting at 1 p.m.; Easter specials and full menu.

• The Grandview (Poughkeepsie): Easter brunch buffet, 12–4 p.m.

The Salt Line at Vassar (Poughkeepsie): Easter brunch, 11 a.m.–2 p.m.

Troutbeck (Amenia): Prix fixe Easter brunch 12–8 p.m.; egg hunt for dining and in-house guests at 11:30 a.m.

Villa Borghese (Wappingers Falls): Brunch 11 a.m.–3 p.m.; photos with the Easter Bunny.

 

► KEEP IN MIND: Reservations may be required and are highly recommended at all restaurants on holidays. Also, many restaurants will require you to bring your own booster seats for the kids on Easter.
