Beatrix Farrand Garden at Bellefield
Description:
The enclosed formal gardens were created in 1912 by Beatrix Farrand, the first recognized woman landscape architect. The garden is noted for its perfectly composed borders of pink, white, blush, cream, grey, mauve and purple colors.

Innisfree Garden
Description: A unique contribution to garden art in America, its design is influenced by a Chinese style dating back 1,000 years. 40-acre lake surrounded by cliffs, low hills, waterfalls and streams.

Institute of Ecosystem Studies
Description: A not-for-profit scientific research center offering Friday science seminars (Sept.-May), nature trails, a perennial garden, a native plant garden, a tropical greenhouse, and a children's summer ecology camp. Location: 181 Sharon Turnpike., Rt. 44A, Millbrook.
Hours: Apr.-Oct., Mon.-Sat., 9am-6pm, Sun., 11am-6pm. The greenhouse is open 9am-3pm year round.
