Scenes from the Titanic: A Writing Workshop at the Mills Mansion

Mark the 114th anniversary of the sinking with a creative writing workshop at the home of Titanic ticket holders Ruth and Ogden Mills. This three-hour workshop begins with a tour led by a costumed guide and seasoned author and editor Alisa Kwitney at the helm. Participants will be piloted through the process of writing their own historical scene using written and visual prompts inspired by tales of survival and courage and the mansion's setting, which is remarkably similar to first-class on the Titanic. Light refreshments of Staatsburgh blend tea and cookies will be served. This workshop is appropriate for adults and teens.
