In honor of Presidents Day, take a special tour of Mesier Homestead, which will highlight tidbits about select presidents and their local connections. Hear about the relationship the Homestead's first occupants had with General Washington's army during the Revolutionary War, as well as various connections which certain places within the Village and Town of Wappingers had with other past presidents.
Then, take a walk back in time as you tour this 1741 home of the original settlers of the area that is now the Village of Wappingers Falls! Docent -led tours of the Mesier Homestead will take place on Sunday, Feb. 15, at 1, 2 and 3 p.m., and Monday, Feb. 16, at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The Homestead is fully heated; tours include the upstairs portion of the main house and the original 1741 section. Please allow 90 minutes for a complete tour.
In the event of inclement weather, an announcement will be made on the Wappingers Historical Society Facebook page and advance ticket holders will be contacted.
