This unique sanctuary in Dover Plains is dedicated to providing a safe haven for unwanted, abused and neglected horses while improving the relationship between horses and people. Lucky Orphans is EAGALA certified, provides Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Equine Assisted Growth and Learning programs, and is committed to working side by side with the rescued horses to help change the lives of people. Schedule a tour of the sanctuary and hear some of the amazing stories of the herd and the circumstances that brought them to Lucky Orphans Horse Rescue! While they do not offer lessons, they offer basic farm tours and a founder's tour, as well as special events that are posted on the Tourism calendar.
